Buffet and Magic

This week has been fun!!! On Thursday (4/7) my friend Zaharra and I decided to walk the strip and go to a magic show. Sometimes it's still hard to believe that I live here.. that I can drive just two miles and be "on the strip". It's fun- but as I've said all along- I don't think I will want to live here forever.  The atmosphere is so much different than home.. and as much fun as I'm having, I do miss home.

Zaharra and I started at "flavors" which is in Harrahs.  Every casino has it's own fun things to do.  We have decided that we could probably spend a day in one or two casinos and in some of them still not see everything.

The buffet was good.. I'm not sure it was worth the $18.. but it was good none-the-less.
My favorite part was the cotton candy!!!! How many buffet's have you been to that have cotton candy?!?
After lunch, we made our way over to The Flamingo to see Nathan Burton. He was on America's Got Talent and has since become pretty popular. He put on a very good show- and it was only $10. I would recommend it!! He used a good mix of magic, illusion, and comedy. He had a couple guest stars who were also very funny.  For one of the acts he called four men out from the audience and made them each wear a mask.  The men didn't know what masks they were wearing.  One was a really goofy face, one a pretty lady, one a bald man, and the other I think was another goofy face.  He gave each man something to do with their hands when he would tap them on the shoulder, for example- the man wearing the woman's face had to do a "beauty contestant" wave and then blow a kiss the audience.  It was SOO funny.  He told a story and would use each of them throughout the story.. tapping them on the shoulder. I wish I could have video taped it- I was laughing so hard. I guess you'll just have to come out and see for yourself! :-)

The show was set up in the Flamingo Showroom. We had decent seats.

This picture is a little dark but the one that I used the flash on Zaharra closed her eyes.. of course! :-)

Nathan Burton and myself after the show.
After the show we made our way out to the Flamingo exhibit. It was fun to see the animals..

It was a good day!
